WPT Experience Prize Packages and PKR MTT Leaderboard
It was an unusually slow week at the PKR Poker tables which will allow me to go into great detail regarding the current WPT Dublin Experience prize packages the site is giving away –the first one has already been awarded, which I mentioned in this past Weekend Update. This is by far one of the best promotions the site has ever offered, and with a total value of $5,000, I figured this is one promotion that players will want to know all the specifics about!
I’ll also take my weekly look at the PKR Multi-table Tournament leader-board rankings, and see which top tournament players were able to make some headway, and position themselves to have a big stack in next month’s MTT Rankings freeroll –remember, even though the top 3,000 players are eligible, the higher your ranking, the more chips you’ll start with!
So without further adieu, let’s take a look at how you can qualify for the WPT Dublin tournament in early 2012!
WPT Experience Prize Packages: PKR’s greatest promotion ever???
In the lead-up to the 2011 World Series of Poker, seven lucky PKR Poker players managed to win one of the site’s WSOP Experience Prize-Packages, worth an estimated $4,200 –not to mention the VIP access that went along with being a representative of PKR Poker, which is priceless.
Now the site has upped the ante, and is offering players the chance to cash-in at the first-ever WPT tournament to take place in Ireland, the WPT Dublin, which will get underway in January 2012. This time around the prize-package is worth $5,000.
Qualifiers can be found in the PKR Poker tournament lobby, as can satellites to these qualifiers, some for as little as $3!
If you’re not sure if it’s worth your time, and money, to take a shot at one of these tournaments, go back and read some of the trip reports, and write-ups from the WSOP Experience Package winners! Even if you don’t cash in the tournament, the parties, and rubbing elbows with the stars of the European poker scene will be well worth it. And who knows, you may just end up being the first-ever WPT Dublin Champion!

PKR Multi-Table Tournament Leader-Board
WuarblWrbl is almost running away with the MTT Ranking title, considering he is not just maintaining his #1 spot, but it seems that his lead is growing every single week! WuarblWrbl now leads the #2 man on the MTT leader-board, Wygie, by nearly 15,000 points; an unheard of amount considering it is nearly 50% of Wygie’s point total!
So, while the prolific German tournament players continues to dominate the rest of the leader-board has seen some upward movement from Ellie91 (#7 last week), who now finds himself/herself in the #3 spot, leapfrogging a number of solid players including Rocken1900, who managed to maintain his #4 slot on the leader-board.
Elliie91’s climb came at the expense of ForFoxSake who dropped from #3 all the way down to #6 this week; while on the flipside Tyger007 managed to climb back into the Top 10, landing at #8. Stackstealer was the only player knocked out of the Top 10 this week, falling to #12 on the rankings.
But, at the end of the day the only question that remains unanswered is: Will anyone be able to challenge WuarblWrbl for the #1 spot?
